Hello all of you who still on occasion, while browsing the intrawebs, pop by here to see if there’s any news.
I’d just like to make it official – we’re back, and we’re progressing at the speed of sound.
Our new home is magic-wow’s high rate server, which is owned by the old WoWScape’s owner, if I’m not mistaken, or actually co-owned, because they’re sharing some resources with WoWLegacy servers, and a lot of responsibilities with their owners and devs. 12x rates, 3000-5000 people online, scripted instances, no special gear for donors.. Sounds good? IT IS!
The server uses a frostemu core, and since we’ve been there, which is a few weeks now, they’ve fixed more bugs and updated more in-game stuff than it has been done on WoWBeez in a time period of a year. The community is large, the server runs great (there are some issues with random server crashes, like Beez had half a year ago, but we’re all used to that) and the feeling is, well, extraordinary. It reminds me of retail so much, that I only realise it’s actually a free server when it crashes.
‘Why would I want to abandon a fully epiced out character on Beez and roll on a server where I have to level to 80′ you might ask. Well, this server has to offer a lot more than Beez does. PvE enounters are either fully scripted, or soft scripted. Raids that haven’t been scripted yet don’t award any loot, which prevents people from tank’n'spanking the content and gearing up in a day. Secondly, WSG, AB, 2v2 and 3v3 arenas work, and you can get all the respective PvP gear with honor and arena points. And lastly, donators cannot get anything overpowered. They can only buy epic item sets that are available to other players via raiding or PvP, gold and levels.
There’s no extra talent points, or any other imbalanced shit.
I’d hate to go on and on rambling about the server, when you can check it out for yourself on magic-wow.com
So let’s talk about us!
For you that knew me before Vae Victus, I was GM of a guild called Comfortably Numb, which is now ressurected on the server previously mentioned.
Some of my old friends, from both CN and VV are there, with some random people we’ve picked up along the way – but we didn’t start dominating the server just yet, since there’s a few important things that need to be done first.
One of those things is a website, and we’re probably going to use this one. I think it’s even done now (Hard work, it is!), so say hi to the new site.
But most importantly, the reason I wanted to post this, is to ask all of you – ex Vae Victus members, officers, forum lurkers, even the people that knew some of our members and just popped by to say hi – to come and join us on this marvelous server and help us become one of the best, if not the best guild there, like we did with Vae Victus on Beez.
We’re still alliance, for those who happen to have a 3.2v of WoW stashed somewhere and want to try it out. Feel free to contact Crackadia, Driveshaft, Mindwarp, Jeax or Skanki (Ganjia) for a prompt ginvite!
Cya around!
